Rachel Gomez

I am currently in the process of completing my senior year at the University of South Florida. I am majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast News.

With a passion for connecting with those wanting to make a difference in the lives of others, I have found it fascinating to listen and to share their stories.

Through the years, I have developed skills in writing, editing, reporting, and journalism. I have also expanded my knowledge in the production of news stories using Adobe software.

In addition to an extensive exposure regarding the various angles of reporting and journalism, my other experiences include electronic field production, telecommunications, media law and ethics, broadcast news, and tv news. I have also appreciated the opportunity to enjoy a diverse collection of electives during my

education.

A variety of extracurricular hobbies have shaped who I have become today. I am inspired by the arts. I enjoy performing in theater, dance, music, and singing. I have a fondness for all of nature as well as a desire to learn about the many beautiful and unique cultures throughout the world.

My dream is to blend my educational background with what inspires me in my everyday life in ways that are both professional and appreciated by society. My compassion for community and empathy toward others is a benefit that will guide me in working well with those around me, to communicate effectively, and to produce the best results in the most efficient way possible. I am responsible, loyal, and committed. I believe strongly in dedication and perseverance.

My experience is of customer service at the Comanche Memorial Hospital for two years. I also have experience working as an intern in the Cleveland Elementary School. In addition, I performed and sang in theater productions and worked backstage.
