    Description

    Miller Johnson, one of Michigan's largest full-service law firms, is seeking an experienced full-time Legal Administrative Assistant for our Detroit Office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinating administrative and legal practice tasks and projects for attorneys
    • Calendaring and coordinating meetings, appointments, deadlines, tasks, and conference calls
    • Preparing new client intake materials; opening new client matters; billing activities
    • Client interaction by phone, email and in person
    • Preparing, editing, proofreading, and assembling legal documents and correspondence
    • Preparing and filing court documents including electronically through Electronic Case Files (ECF) as needed

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 2 years legal administrative experience
    • Education experience preferred
    • Employee Benefits experience preferred
    • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Excellent grammar and communication skills
    • Knowledge of court and agency processes and procedures
    • Exceptional client service, discretion, and judgment to ensure client confidentiality
    • Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
    • Proactive, organized and detail-oriented
