    Senior Cost Accountant

    Location :
    Greater San Diego area (onsite)

    Compensation :
    $90k with a quarterly incentive bonus (higher compensation possible for candidates with management/leadership experience)

    CFO

    Summary :


    We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant with over 5 years of experience in cost and inventory accounting/analysis within a manufacturing environment.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with a knack for translating details into broader strategic insights and a focus on process improvement.

    Experience in high-volume manufacturing cost accounting is essential.

    Essential Duties :
    Develop and maintain standard cost, labor, and overhead rates.
    Analyze product and project costs, focusing on material variances and labor efficiencies.
    Conduct physical inventory count reconciliations.
    Assist in month-end general ledger close, including preparation of journal entries.
    Aid in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    Implement process improvements and procedural controls.
    Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
    Support financial reviews and audits by independent auditors.
    Perform other cost and general accounting responsibilities and special projects as needed.
    Maintain regular, reliable attendance and be adaptable to other duties as assigned.

    Job Specifications :
    5-10+ years of standard Cost Accounting/Analysis experience, preferably in a large manufacturing environment.
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business.
    Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
    Valid driver's license, current proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
