    Description

    Cost Accountant Consultant

    Our client, a cutting-edge startup in the energy industry, is seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant
    As a Cost Accountant, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, controlling, and reducing costs across various aspects of their operations

    This is an onsite role at their office in Solana Beach, CA where you will collaborate closely with their executive and operations teams.


    Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant


    • Analyze and interpret financial data to determine cost drivers and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain cost accounting processes and procedures.
    • Prepare and analyze cost reports, variance analysis, and forecasts.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on cost analysis findings.

    Requirements of the Cost Accountant


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, cost analysis, or related roles.
    • Tech savvy
    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    Experience with QuickBooks is a plus


    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in the energy industry is a plus.
