    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our team of business development representatives, specialists and researchers. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our firm by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and ensuring a steady deal flow in the competitive commercial real estate market. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of our client database through effective management and ongoing audits.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Lead and Manage the Business Development Team:

    • Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to a team of business development representatives and specialists.
    • Set clear goals and objectives for the team and track progress towards achieving sales targets.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.

    Develop Strategic Sales Plans:

    • Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive sales strategies and plans aligned with the firm's objectives.
    • Identify target markets, segments, and potential clients within the commercial real estate industry.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Track team output trends to continually improve on performance and efficiency.

    Execute Sales Initiatives:

    • Lead the team in executing outbound sales efforts, including cold calling, networking, and relationship building.
    • Develop and refine effective call scripts, pitch presentations, and sales materials tailored to different client segments.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as investment analysts and legal teams, to ensure seamless deal execution.

    Manage Deal Flow and Resources:

    • Oversee the acquisition team's deal pipeline and allocate resources effectively to prioritize high-potential opportunities.
    • Monitor and manage the efficiency and productivity of the team to maximize deal closure rates.
    • Identify and address bottlenecks or challenges in the deal process to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

    Quality Assurance and Database Management:

    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the client database through ongoing audits and regular maintenance.
    • Conduct quality assurance checks on call recordings and information placed within the firm's database to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
    • Implement processes and protocols to address any discrepancies or issues identified during audits and maintain a high standard of data quality.

    Foster a Strong Team Culture:

    • Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that values teamwork, creativity, and excellence.
    • Lead by example and inspire team members to uphold the firm's core values and commitment to client satisfaction.
    • Implement initiatives to boost team morale, celebrate successes, and promote professional development.

    QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales or Business
    • Proven track record of success in business development or sales management roles within the commercial real estate industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate markets, investment strategies, and deal structures.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to think strategically and execute tactical sales initiatives effectively.
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
