    Internship Program

    The internship program will last 10 weeks providing a comprehensive exposure to the smart home industry.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Intern to join our team for the summer. This role presents an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a key business development function in a fast growing smart home market. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and have a proactive mindset to drive business growth.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Market Research and Analysis
      • Conduct market research to identify potential partners, competitors, and market trends in the smart home industry.
      • Analyze data to generate insights and recommendations for business development strategies.
      • Monitor industry news, events, and developments to identify emerging opportunities.
    • Partnership Development
    • Lead the identification and evaluation of potential partners, including device manufacturers, service providers, and retail partners.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop partnership strategies and value propositions that align with company objectives.
    • Assist in negotiating partnership agreements, including terms, timelines, and scope of collaboration.
    • Support the implementation and onboarding of new partners, ensuring smooth integration with our platform.
    • Lead Generation and Prospecting
      • Generate leads through various channels including online research, networking events, and industry conferences.
      • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and prioritize opportunities for further engagement.
      • Assist in developing outreach strategies and materials to effectively communicate our value proposition to potential partners.
    • Project Coordination
      • Assist in coordinating projects and initiatives related to business development, including product launches, pilot programs, and partnership integrations.
      • Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
      • Communicate project updates and status reports to stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns as they arise.
    • Completion of internship experience powerpoint presentation on program end date

    What You Bring On Day One (Required Qualifications)
    • Ability to complete a 12-week internship (May - August 2024)
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
    • Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
    • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated interest in technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
    • Prior experience in business development, sales, or marketing is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is preferred.
