    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
    Job description
    Our Client is seeking to add a Senior Accountant to our team If you are an independent thinker that would like to work in a dynamic and growing company, we would love to hear from you
    Responsibilities Include
    Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor variances between actual results and

    budgeted/forecasted

    amounts.

    Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

    Coordinate the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
    Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives. Identify trends, opportunities, and risks that may impact the organization's financial performance.

    Assist with tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

    Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
    Perform other job related functions as assigned.
    Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
    4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
    Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
    Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects as needed
    Approachable and able to interact with staff at all levels in a rapidly changing environment
    Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
    Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus
