    Description

    About the Company & Position - Senior Grant Accountant

    • CFS is working with a stable nonprofit organization looking for a mission driven Senior Grant Accountant to join their team
    • Their mission areas focus on ending hunger, housing services, survivor assistance programs, etc.

    • This is a hybrid position located in the Financial District in NYC
    Role Responsibilities - Senior Grant Accountant
    • Maintain portfolio of grants
    • Review financial reports and invoices prepared by the Grant Accountant
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission to government funders and private foundations
    • Prepare monthly journal entries to accrue grant revenue and expenses
    • Collaborate internally with Program, Legal, and Development staff on various grants management functions
    • Assist the Director of Budgets and Grants Management in the preparation of the annual budget, projections, etc
    • Analyze the actual revenue and expenses incurred versus the budget for the period
    Preferred Qualifications - Senior Grant Accountant
    • BA degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
    • 3+ years of grant experience
    • Experience with MIP is a huge plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
