JOB SUMMARYThis position implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll including salaries, benefits, bonuses, garnishments, taxes and other items.
Ensures the payroll is in compliance with government regulations for the US and Canada.This role can be based out of the greater Denver area OR greater Chicago area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESImplements, maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll including salaries, benefits, bonuses, garnishments, taxes and other itemsAccountable for payroll compliance and government regulation requirementsResponsible for third party payroll vendor relationshipsPrepares journal entries, account reconciliations and other details for finance/accountingPrepare and distribute reports for managementProvides leadership, development and direction for the payroll teamResponsible for quarterly and end of year processingPartners with site HR and the Total Rewards TeamResponsible for retro calculations, along with payroll completion/settlementAccountable for continuous improvement, trouble shooting and projectsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEExperience with Workday Payroll is a must have, Kronos experience an asset8+ years of progressive responsibility in payroll with US and Canadian experience3+ years of payroll leadership experienceAssociate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related fieldKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESStrong knowledge of regulations related to payroll processing, payroll taxes, garnishments and other compliance issuesStrong attention to detail, problem solving, troubleshooting and continuous improvement skillsStrong communication skills to communicate clearly and listen carefully in an open candid and consistent mannerHighly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially ExcelCustomer service focused, collaborative, flexible, agile, responsible and team orientatedOur total compensation package includes amazing benefitsCompetitive wages and bonus opportunitiesFamily medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee costShort and long term disability programsCompetitive retirement plansFlexible Spending and Health Savings AccountsEmployer-provided and Voluntary Life Insurance optionsPaid vacations and 10 paid holiday days per yearApprenticeship and career advancement within the companyTuition reimbursementWellness programAll applicants must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.
