Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor (Open Rank) for Finance

Summary of Job Duties:
The Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor (open rank) of Finance position which begins in the Fall 2024 semester. This position is expected to teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, primarily focused on alternative investments, derivatives, and portfolio management at the Department of Finance, with a teaching load of 12 credit hours (4 courses) per fall and spring semester. Engagement with finance industry and professional finance organizations as well as service duties are also expected.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited university conferred by the start of employment

At least 10 years of experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses

Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses

Experience with managing real-life investment portfolios

At least one of CFA, CAIA, CMT, or CFP professional certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in collaboration with financial industry and professional finance organizations

At least 10 years of experience in teaching graduate finance courses

Experience and willingness to teach in areas of finance other than alternative investments, derivatives, and portfolio management
