    Summary of Job Duties:


    The Research Assistant Professor of the Office for Education Policy will assist the Office for Education Policy in their efforts to inform and improve education in Arkansas by conducting and disseminating rigorous qualitative and quantitative research about education in Arkansas.

    The research assistant professor will also be expected to communicate results to stakeholders throughout the state.

    Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others



    Qualifications:

    Minimum

    Qualifications:


    • Conferred by the start of employment a Doctorate degree from a nationally recognized and accredited institution in Education Policy, Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, or related field
    • Record of successful publication in peer-reviewed journals, professional presentations, and external funding
    • At least two years of experience communicating research results to education policymakers and practitioners
    • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality
    Preferred

    Qualifications:


    • Experience managing large data sets for research projects

    This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
