- Schedules multiple same day appointments, follow-up appointments and special or complex medical procedures
- Provides support to staff and physicians, and other customers by managing phone calls and correspondence
- Prioritizes and maintains patient files and documents
- Requests additional patient records from other clinics, facilities to ensure continuity of care
- An Associate's Degree in medical related field or 2+ years post high school education
- 2+ years of work experience in an outpatient or inpatient clinic setting providing general administrative support and/or scheduling experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology

Regardless of the role, we recognize that every member of our team is vital The Scheduling Coordinator - Procedures promotes M Physicians' philosophy of patient-centered care by guiding customers through appointment and procedure scheduling, as well as coordinating all follow-up support with the healthcare team. The individual in this role displays proficient time management skills, the ability to prioritize and triage work in a fast-paced environment, thinks critically and displays interpersonal competency.
Our Fairview Southdale Cardiology Clinic supports a wide variety of patients with their cardiac needs. This includes preventative care, coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and more. We have a large group of providers that work closely with the RN's, clinical support staff, scheduling staff and more to provide excellent patient care. Southdale was rated #1 in the twin cities for cardiac care, and coronary intervention. We are excited to add an individual to our clinic who enjoys being part of a team and has a passion for caring for patients
