    Description

    We are recruiting a highly accountable Manager of Strategic Finance for a global AI company. This is a newly created position and opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic leadership team. The Manager of Strategic Finance will be a hands-on leader and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial future and strategic direction. Our client offers a 100% remote schedule, though occasional travel to Northern California is required. Salary: $180,000-$240,000 + equity.

    The qualified candidate will have experience working with investment banking/private equity and requires advanced strategic thinking and communication.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Act as a strategic partner to the CFO, Executive Team, Sales, and Operations Team, providing valuable insights and forward-thinking planning.
    • Conduct in-depth financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking to inform decision-making processes.
    • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
    • Analyze past financial performance, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to senior executives.
    • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to provide key data and insights for operational efficiency.
    • Drive productivity by developing automated reporting and forecasting tools to streamline processes.
    • Conduct market research, data mining, and business intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics, Math, or Analytics; MBA preferred.
    • Investment banking, private equity, or VC experience is highly preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data query/tools such as Access, SQL, or Business Objects.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret complex data.
    • Ability to grow into a leadership role to mentor and develop team members.
    • Experience presenting financial insights to top-level executives.
    • Curiosity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
    • Proficient in effectively communicating with diverse global organizations and multicultural individuals.
    • Ability to process accurate information in a timely manner.
    • Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize projects and manage teams effectively.
    • Ability to travel to Northern California as needed.
