Compass Group is seeking an Assistant Dining Services Director for a Senior Living community with 350 residents (independent living, assisted living, long-term care, and memory care). As the Director of Operations, this individual will be responsible for assisting in the overall management of the food service operation through maintaining established costs and quality standards to ensure superior service and maximize profits. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role is part of the management team overseeing 45 team members. A healthcare background is preferred, and culinary experience is a plus. This position offers a rewarding environment where employees can make a positive impact on residents' lives daily. Key ResponsibilitiesAssists in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and supervising functions and activities of the departmentBuilds and maintains strong relationships with clients, guests, residents, subcontractors, and all team membersRegularly obtains feedback from clients and guests to improve operationsSupports and communicates Company initiativesRespond and assist in any departmental guest service issuesExecutes all menus, promotions, and programs as outlined by the Director of Food Service in accordance with Compass standardsDirects and conducts safety, sanitation, and community maintenance programs.
Acts as a liaison with client's management team, and other areas as needed, to ensure efficient operational performanceEnsures that daily walkthroughs are being conducted in both FOH and BOH to provide guidance and feedback to team membersDirects and conducts safety, sanitation, and community maintenance programs and auditsPromotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and moraleParticipates in regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team membersInterviews, hires, trains, and develops team members according to Compass guidelinesMentors department managers to develop their skills and leadership abilitiesOther duties, as assigned Qualifications:
