    Description

    The Omni La Mansion del Rio is ideally nestled along the historic Riverwalk among the banks of the Paseo del Rio in downtown San Antonio.

    It is within easy walking distance of the famous Alamo, El Mercado, La Villita District, Spanish governor's Palace, San Antonio Convention Center and other well-known landmarks.

    The main job for this position will be training, mentoring, interviewing and hiring the right talent to support an outstanding Food and Beverage Operation according to corporate standards of product and service.

    Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings.
    Ensure all staff has completed side work checklists for dining room.
    Overall management of the outlet, room service, mini bar and rooftop cafe.
    Hold pre-shift meetings.
    Follow up on established training steps.
    Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure member and guest satisfaction.
    Stay on the floor during peak hours.
    Observe, teach and correct staff's service in a professional manner.
    Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
    Responsible for scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting.
    Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
    Responsible for performance management for staff, including monitoring attendance, conducting annual reviews, facilitating department meetings, disciplinary actions.
    Must have and maintain current Serv Safe Food Managers Exam and TABC certifications.

    Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.

    Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred.
    Must be able to work flexible shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    Collaborate with culinary team in creative in food presentations, specials and promotions.
    Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
    Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    Understanding previous culinary training or experience with Menu Design.
