    About the Job

Ossium's Donor Services, Recovery Services, Donation Compliance, and Donor Quality functions will all report to you, and you will report directly to the CEO.

    Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years experience as a senior leader at an OPO (Organ Procurement Organization), tissue processor, or biotech company
    • Strong understanding of the organ and tissue donation ecosystem, including screening, recovery, and quality
    • Demonstrated history of building relationships and working closely and constructively with outside groups
    • Comfort with Quality Management Systems, familiarity with AATB standards, and proven effective operation in a GTP, GMP, and/or CLIA compliant operation
    • Outstanding project management skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Capability to operate with a high level of organization and excellent time management in a fast-paced startup environment
    • This position is based in our San Francisco office; we maintain a hybrid schedule of Monday - Thursday in the office, with Friday as a remote work day
    Preferred Qualifications

    • A BS or BA in biological sciences or related field
    • Experience working in the quality department of an OPO or tissue processor
    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee donor screening process, including supporting initiatives to automate and simplify screening for both partners and Ossium
    • Review and approve all donor related SOP updates
    • Act as business partner with Legal when drafting updates to agreement or reviewing redlines from recovery partners
    • Supervise operation of and monitor quality metrics pertaining to donor status, chart release, pending items, recovery partner audits, and recovery partner quality performance
    • Develop and share trusting relationships with each donor department team member and recruit, manage, and develop department staff
    • Analyze workflows across the department and recommend methods for effective and efficient operation
    • Recommend and author new or improved methods, procedures, and systems
In your first six months some projects you'll work on include:

    • Comprehensively reviewing Ossium chart intake and review process, identifying improvements, and implementing changes to strengthen and scale our donor chart review capabilities
    • Finishing building out our robust chart intake and review process, monitoring outcomes, and modifying as needed
    • Finalizing and rolling out updates to our recovery partner quality reporting system
    • Tracking outcome of donation SOP updates, reporting results to leadership team, and recommending any needed changes
This position has a salary range of $175,000 to $295,000 annually. Ossium Health takes a market-based approach to pay.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

This range may be modified in the future.

We offer a full slate of employee benefits including:

    • Competitive salaries
