**Description**
As the Marketing & Sales Manager, you will have responsibility for the on-site marketing and sales efforts for the resort. You will be responsible for attending on-site and off-site marketing events, proactively reaching out to brands and organizations that can help to advertise the resort, maintain guest occupancy as identified in business strategy plan. You will be working closely with the resorts General Manager, as well as in close partnership with and as the on-the-ground representative for the outsourced Advertising Agency and Public Relations Firm who will look to you for ideas, input, feedback and execution. You will also assist the on-site operations in ensuring that the resort capitalizes on satisfied guests experiences in order to assist with word-of-mouth referrals.
**JOB DUTIES**
Responds to guest inquiries and online reviews.
Serves as a point of contact for potential guests.
Works with the marketing team to increase reservations and occupancy and further promote the property brand.
Works with operations team to ensure we deliver a high level of service to guests that is consistent with the property's mission.
Proactively follows up with guest inquiries and seeks new brand partnerships with organizations, industry leaders and brands that align with the target guest demographic.
Coordinate and execute all off-site sales and marketing events, with assistance from the PR and Advertising team, helping to identify, sign up for, staff and market events. As the Brand Ambassador the marketing & sales manager will be responsible for community outreach and partnerships.
Responsible to grow and obtain the email marketing lists; contributes ideas and content for the email communications to potential and current clients; develop marketing and promotional campaigns to attract additional reservations
Perform competitive market studies and follow industry trends. Keep close pulse on opportunities for growth and greater results on revenue.
Provide periodic dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons
Analyze overall monthly resort performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.
**REQUIREMENTS**
Equivalent of Bachelors Degree or higher- *preferred*
Minimum of 2 years marketing and sales experience in the hospitality industry and/or RV industry
Minimum of 2 years in a Hospitality or Customer Centric environment (luxury hotel background preferred)
Previous sales or vacation rental experience - *preferred*
Solid sales and negotiation skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be a self-starter but also a team player
Excellent writing skills
Working knowledge of marketing and PR principles
Trending and forecasting analytics
Computer proficiency, including email, the internet and Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
Ability to travel when needed an attend off-site events on weekdays, weekends and non-business hours, as needed
