    Description

    The Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle North/Lynnwood was established in 1992. It comprises 5 floors, offering a total of 240 two-room suites, a hot full buffet, and made-to-order omelets daily. Guests are enticed by the complimentary two drinks at the evening reception every night. The hotel boasts 7 event spaces, including a 6000 sq ft atrium, totaling 13,000 sq. ft of flexible meeting space. Groups of up to 550 people have enjoyed the atrium while indulging in catering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Embassy Suites stands out as the leading hotel in the Lynnwood market, thanks to its strong partnerships with the Lynnwood Event Center and Tourism Promotion Area.

    A renovation was completed in 2018 to cater to larger events and update the suites to modern standards. Travelers flock from all over to partake in outdoor music and performances during the warm summer evenings at a Lynnwood festival, fair, or community event. Ethnic fairs and celebrations, featuring dance, crafts, and food, are popular throughout the year.

    Job Overview:

    The development and solicitation of business from all markets to ensure the necessary advance bookings needed for a successful and profitable operation for the hotel.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    · Direct the solicitation efforts of room sales through effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate, date and space commitments for group room sales within the hotel.

    • Understands and has worked in the Orlando Hospitality/Hotel market
    • Ability to strategize building out solicitation of new business.
    • Compiles and/or directs the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly Forecast, Sales Budget, Lead Management System, Booking Report and Sales Meeting minutes.
    • Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies. Make reasonable recommendations to improve potential from various markets.
    • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations for prospective clients. Internally promote hotel's programs. Meet with and entertain clients, some of which may require travel.
    • Initiate preparation of computerized annual Marketing Plan and execute plans as outlined, critically examining and adjusting as deemed necessary by current market conditions.
    • Organize and/or attend scheduled Sales Department and related meetings.

    The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors.
    • Ability to supervise staff.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    College degree preferred.

    Experience:

    Minimum of 3 years hotel and or hospitality sales experience

    Previously managed sales manager/s in hotel setting
