The Strategic Account Manager will maximize our customers' growth by implementing category management plans. The position requires an individual who develops multi-level and multi-function relationships within accounts and drives the cross-functional team internally.
Take lead and accountability for the cross-functional team that supports existing customer projects and activities.
Function as the Account General Manager in driving all aspects of account management including product mix, pricing, margin, inventory, turns, on-time-shipping, product roadmap, marketing plan, production/distribution, customer training, customer satisfaction, quarterly business reviews, and issue resolution.
Develop deep relationships throughout account including executive, marketing, engineering, procurement, and operationsDevelop category management plans - i.e. product mix, pricing, merchandising, advertising & promotion plan - to build customers' sales & profitabilityDevelop and manage proposals for new installations and rebuildsCommunicate job progress on installation projectsBecome the category "expert"; attend trade association events as necessarySolve technical challenges for customers, understanding relationship between customer's applications (i.e. equipment and chemicals) and the Company technologyBuild technical and sales skills through on-going industry trainingEstablish customer pricing in a manner consistent with company's guidelinesReport on account results and projectionsOther duties as requestedWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceExperience and/or Training:Experience calling on Car Wash Accounts with strong preference for equipment and chemical salesExperience managing accounts sized between $25M - $40MMinimum 5-8 years of field sales experienceAbility to develop deep and broad relationship with accountsStrong category management experience to optimize product offerings / recommendationsStrong leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and taking ownership of issue resolutionAbility to identify and influence key decision makersProven strong interpersonal and organizational skillsHigh-level of integrity, work ethic and accountabilityProven track record closing large complex accounts or programsProven track record selling technical productExperience with a multi-level, complex saleEffective written and oral communication skillsOpen and candid communicatorLicenses/Certificates: Valid driver's licenseTechnology/Equipment:Proficient to advanced skills in the use of Microsoft OfficeExperience with CRM softwareExperience with ERP systemsLubeEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
