    2 Walk-up Building campus in need of maintenance technician.

    A campus style co-op in Harlem is seeking a Porter/Handyperson who is responsible, on time, has stamina and cares about the quality of their work. You will work closely with other Building Maintenance staff to maintain the interior and exterior of the 12 walk-up buildings, including but not limited to maintaining the trash, sweeping, mopping, cleaning and wiping. Also, periodically respond to shareholder/resident maintenance requests such as clogged drains, leaking vents, or damaged walls. May also complete maintenance work to the exterior of a facility, including painting, Adhering to the highest safety standards and procedures, and answering maintenance calls—excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills to ensure smooth daily operations.

    Knowledge of plumbing, construction, and electrical work to maintain a functional building for residents, workers, and other individuals is a plus.

    Performing quality checks on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
    Checking and responding to security and safety issues
    Testing and recommending new maintenance products
    Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers
    Keeping documents of inspections and problems
    Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies
    Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, and welding. Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle the equipment. Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking. Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues. Ability to work outside in hot or cold conditions. Organizational and time management skills
