$30.05-$40.25/hourly


Summary
The maintenance tech has a "safety-first" mindset. They are a self-motivated, technical, professional working with the management team to support the maintenance of all production equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of industrial equipment, and for the installation of mechanical equipment. They will ensure that the plant and equipment are maintained at the highest performance level.

They will strive to minimize cost, energy usage, and waste in accordance with corporate policies and health and safety regulations.


Essential Functions

  • Experienced in all industrial safe practices, including Electrical, Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Committed to making safety a priority in all activities.
  • Having working knowledge of all basic industrial mechanical components and systems such as bearings, mechanical drive systems and components, gear boxes, pumps, valves, compressors, blowers, and other hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Possessing the ability to read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and drawings, manuals, and setup procedures.
  • Having a basic understanding of electrical drawings.
  • Qualified to safely operate machine tools drill press, power saw, pipe threader, etc.
  • Ability to dismantle, repair, rebuild, clean, adjust, and calibrate mechanical components and systems, returning them to operating order.
  • Experienced in operation, troubleshooting, repairing, and installation of pneumatic and hydraulic piping and associated control components.
  • Ability to determine the most effective method to make repairs to production equipment and support systems to minimize the interruption of operations.
  • Will advise the supervisor when equipment needs immediate attention to prevent damage to the equipment, and/or prevent problems with quality of the finished product.
  • Experienced in inspecting and assessing equipment for defects such as misalignments, wear, and insufficient lubrication ability to perform repair and adjustment.
  • Ability to install and align motors, gearboxes, and other equipment. Able to perform basic rigging procedures on a wide range of equipment.
  • Experienced and trained in basic welding, metal cutting, and basic metal fabrication.
  • Proven track record in working effectively within an integrated production and maintenance environment.
  • Possessing basic working knowledge of electrical controls and drives.
  • Proficiency at performing and reporting on assigned PM's of equipment/systems.
  • Ability to identify and request parts, supplies, and tooling needed for repairs and replenishment of maintenance inventory.
  • Performing facility and grounds maintenance when necessary.
  • Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations/procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to work outside of schedule, overtime as required, and on call as needed to ensure limited interruptions in production.

Position Qualifications

Education:High School diploma or GED with additional vocational training or certification preferred.

Experience:Five years of experience with continuous operation production lines, working within an industrial environment.

  • Training and experience with electrical safe practices such as Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Solid record as an effective team member within a continuous operation production environment.
  • Ability to issue reports and updates when required.
  • Trained experience in powered equipment such as forklifts and aerial platform lifts.
