Veterinary Client Service Representative
VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital — located just 20 minutes north of Boston and 20 minutes south of New Hampshire — is seeking a client service professional to join our fast-growing AAHA-accredited, 12-doctor general and exotics practice.
The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service.
Requirements:
Animal hospital or other professional animal-related experience (shelter, pet store, day care, grooming, animal science classes, etc.). If you don't have that experience, please explain in your cover note why we should consider you.
A flexible schedule; we are open 7 days, and some weekend and evening shifts are required.
Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
A dedication to maintaining the positive work environment that is fostered here.
As the face of VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital, the client service representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities.
Customer service functions, including greeting visitors and answering telephones.
Scheduling and confirming appointments.
Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (for example, flea and tick control and heartworm prevention).
Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
