    Description

    Sales Manager - Direct Sales

    Location:
    Rockland, Boston Area, MA, USA

    The Sales Manager will maintain and strengthen existing customer sales, identify new business opportunities, close business, and generate revenue for Cognitecs well-established business products.

    The ideal candidate possesses 8 to 10 years of direct sales experience in the video, biometrics and/or security industry, communicates effectively, focuses on sales and customers, collaborates with other team members, overcomes customers sales challenges creatively and demonstrates high integrity.

    A college degree and intensive IT knowledge are required. Previous experience with a CRM tool such as Salesforce is required.

    Key areas of responsibility
    * actively generate new leads
    * close business and generate revenue to meet and exceed revenue targets
    * perform product demonstrations to prospective clients
    * identify new opportunities and partner with team to implement
    * maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships
    * perform lead follow-up and qualification
    * generate quotations and follow-up to turn into orders
    * provide feedback to product management on product enhancements
    * maintain current and accurate account status report
    * stay current on competitive products and technology, and communicate updates to management
    * represent the company in a professional, knowledgeable manner
    * understand customer/market dynamics and requirements

    * strong interpersonal relationships and attention to detail
    * ability to work under deadline pressure and meet deadlines
    * ability to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter
    * ability to work in a changing, demanding, and growing international company
    * willingness to travel and work in a global team

    Travel
    * position may require up to 25% travel
    * occasional travel to head office in Germany
