    The Assistant to the Controller (bilingual) provides administrative and clerical support to the Controller in managing the financial activities of the organization. This role involves assisting in financial record-keeping, reporting, and analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial information for decision-making purposes. The Assistant to the Controller collaborates closely with accounting staff, department heads, and external stakeholders to maintain effective financial operations. Located in Pico Rivera, full time, 100% onsite, must be bilingual in Spanish with a compensation of $26.00 to $34.00/hr. D.O.E.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in financial record-keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
    • Support financial reporting: Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries as directed by the Controller, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting: Aid in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts by gathering relevant financial data and performing analysis as needed.
    • Process financial transactions: Assist in processing invoices, payments, and reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
    • Conduct financial analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement or potential risks, and provide recommendations to the Controller.
    • Assist in audit preparation: Support the Controller in preparing documentation and schedules for internal and external audits, and facilitate audit inquiries as required.
    • Maintain financial systems: Help maintain and update financial software systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for financial reporting purposes.
    • Provide administrative support: Manage the Controller's calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate communications as needed. Handle correspondence, inquiries, and other administrative tasks related to financial operations.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Work closely with accounting staff, department heads, and other teams to address financial issues, provide support, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Stay updated on financial regulations: Keep abreast of relevant accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices in financial operations.

    Qualifications:

    • 5 Years accounting experience with Bachelor or Associates Degree in Accounting or Business.
    • Fluent in English and Spanish.
    • Able to complete tasks on time and with minimal supervision.
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
    • Knowledge of GAAP. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly organized, able to prioritize with attention to detail.
    • ADP Resource (payroll) & Business Works experience a plus.
