Description

Position:
Quality Control Technician


As a Quality Control Assistant in the train industry, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the established quality standards and specifications.

You will work closely with the Quality Control Manager to inspect, test, and analyze components and finished products to guarantee they meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

Inspect Components:

_ Thoroughly inspect components, parts, and materials used in train manufacturing for defects, damage, or deviations from specifications.

Conduct Tests:

_ Perform various tests and measurements on components and finished products using specialized equipment and tools to ensure they meet quality standards.

Documentation:

_ Record detailed observations, measurements, and test results accurately in quality control reports and databases for reference and analysis. Maintain clear and concise documentation for tracking and analysis.

Identify Non-Conformities:

_ Identify and report any non-conforming return products or materials and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel for corrective action.

Collaborate with Production Team:

_ Work closely with the production team to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective measures to improve product quality and consistency.

Follow Safety Protocols:

_ Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while conducting inspections and tests to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Maintain Equipment:

_ Ensure that all inspection equipment and tools are properly calibrated, maintained, and used according to standard operating procedures.

Provide Training:

_ Assist in providing training to production staff on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices to promote quality awareness and compliance.

Continuous Improvement:

_ Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting ideas and solutions to enhance processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.

Reporting and Communication:

_ Generate various reports and analysis to determine repeat root issues. Communicate various findings and/or needed improvements appropriately to the appropriate team members


Compliance:

Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality control in the train manufacturing industry and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality control, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment, tools, and testing methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and document information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot to isolate root causes of an issue
  • Commitment to upholding highquality standards, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to work with small spaces and small parts

Experiences:


  • Minimum 1 year working with electronic systems
  • Minimum 3 years working with various hand tools
  • Some experience working with uploading software or firmware

Other Duties:


  • Facility/Equipment Maintenance
  • Support all areas of WISA facility in organized and clean manner

Pay:
From $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
