    Job Description

    The Accounting Assistant provides support to the Controller with various accounting responsibilities.

    Responsibilities not limited to:

    1. Assist in preparing the Company budget

    • Proactively collect necessary information for the preparation and maintenance of the Company's annual budget.
    • Ensure timely distribution of budget information to Department managers

    2. Support the preparation of and maintenance of accounting responsibilities

    • Prepare and record accounts payable/receivable and cash disbursement and receipts.
    • Review, process, input and post invoices to the system
    • Process cash receipts and credit card payments
    • Backup Accounts Receivable invoicing
    • Review open Accounts Payable invoices reports and propose a schedule of payments or adjustments

    3. Collections

    • Contact customers to resolve collections issues for delinquent invoices
    • Research and facilitate resolution of outstanding receivables

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Mastery in Microsoft Excel - Pivot Tables/Macros/Formulas etc.
    • Knowledge of accounting systems and principles

    Competencies

    • Detail oriented
    • Consistently accurate
    • Ability to prioritize
    • Proven verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 3 years college in Accounting
    • 2 year office experience
    • Experience working in an accounting function is a plus
