    Job Summary:
    Responsible for researching, designing, implementing and supporting the Synagro network systems. Performs IT technical support for overall company.


    Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

    • Interface with employees at all levels within the company as needed.
    • Support of core applications used by Synagro.
    • Provides a variety of hardware / software technical support services as needed.
    • Troubleshooting and hardware repair for desktop and laptop PCs as needed.
    • Support technical staff and all levels of users include remote users.
    • Adheres to all security and emergency procedures.
    • Monitor and support network infrastructure.
    • Maintain Active Directory.
    • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
    • Document IT procedures and policies.
    • Manage cell phone and air card inventory
    • Maintain/manage IT Assets level inventory software used by Synagro
    • Manage audio
    web conference subscriptions

    • Interface with suppliers as needed
    • Manage Quote & Purchasing process for IT Department
    • Process, code, approvals and submit invoices for IT Department
    • SoftwareLicenseWarranty renewals IT Department

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to deal logically, and effectively with department heads, other departmental employees, and outside personnel.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
    • Ability to travel as needed (10% of time).
    • Ability to function as an integral part of a team and contribute to the success of that group.
    • Ability to work a flexible work schedule with fluctuating hourly demands including working extra hours as necessary.
    • Ability to be assertive, analytical and demonstrative initiative when investigating problems.
    • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical situations.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, work under pressure, and follow through with assigned tasks with limited supervision.
    • Knowledge of LAN/WAN/Ethernet/Fast Ethernet and Gigabit topologies.
    • Ability to troubleshoot Windows Operating Systems.

    Education/Experiences:

    • 5 plus years of related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience
    • Bachelors Degree in an IT related field or relevant experience
    • Experience with Support Ticketing Systems
    • Experience with Exchange, MS Office Suite
    • Experience with the Cloud/Office 365
    • Experience with Active Directory, and Windows Server a plus
    • A+ Certification helpful
    • Competent working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating system
    • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
    • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and accurately

    • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
