Role Summary


A Sales Support Specialist is a customer-focused professional responsible for supporting the sales team to achieve their business development and revenue goals.

By overseeing CRM databases, processing orders and sample requests, and managing communication, this position ensures an effective and efficient sales department.

Job Responsibilities

  • Helps sales staff generate and process new sales leads
  • Performs administrative duties including inputting orders, managing correspondence, reports, and preparing/shipping samples and or literature.
  • Troubleshoots problems with orders, customer accounts and related issues
  • Monitor sales performance through sales
  • Work with the sales team to create and implement targeted sales strategies
  • Helps coordinate travel details for the sales team
  • Meets/works with other department (accounting/logistics) to ensure orders are processed correctly
  • Provides any necessary data or reports to the sales team and ownership
  • Arranges appointments with customers and sales team
  • Travel to new or potentially new customers when needed
  • Additionally, any other tasks that are required to be attended to
Minimum Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required but an associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field is preferred
  • One to three years related experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer software systems/ CRM's including: MS Office, MS Excel, Sales Force(CRM)
  • Able to work with other as well as independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and dedication to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Knowledge of sales practices and most customer service principles
  • Strong attention to detail
Work environment


Work is performed onsite at a company location in Houston, TX and related Work environment varies as this position often requires time spent indoors but could also require field/sales calls.


Pay:
$55, $60,000.00 per year
