    Position Overview:

    Supports the development of infrastructure capital improvement projects at eleven project locations in the Greater Los Angeles area. The projects are planned by the infrastructure team and executed by the project team, focusing on infrastructure components such as Hydronic Lines, Domestic Water/Fire Water/Irrigation/Sewer, Storm Drain, Natural Gas, Electrical Distribution, Electrical Service, Telecommunications, Site Lighting, Campus Roads, and Surface Area Parking Lots.

    Minimum Required Qualifications:

    3-5 years of recent professional work experience in managing the construction of infrastructure projects.

    Experience in a large capital improvement program and familiarity with relevant public codes.

    BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field. Additional qualifying experience exceeding the minimum stated may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience using Building Information Management (BIM)
    • Experience with Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
    • Experience with Division of State Architect (DSA) construction/design process

    Position Description:

    • Assist in developing the utility master plan and verify installation accuracy for new and existing projects.
    • Plan, organize, coordinate, and report construction project performance to the infrastructure team.
    • Identify risks and contribute to creating risk mitigation plans.
    • Present project and data clearly to multiple stakeholder groups.
    • Provide technical and engineering support to the Program Management Office (PMO) including Project Managers and Construction Managers.
    • Coordinate with surveying, testing, and inspection staff.
    • Document construction progress, including photographs, daily project reports, and notes as needed.
    • Prepare written materials such as correspondence, reports, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Record meeting minutes with project stakeholders.
    • Review submittal procedures, RFI's, and monthly invoices.
    • Job site visits to various locations will be required.
    • Perform other project support duties as assigned.
