    Description

    We are looking for an experienced ENGINEERING PROJECT / PROGRAM MANAGER with a solid mechanical background in the aerospace, aviation, defense, or space sectors.

    This stable and internationally owned organization, operating in multi-billion dollars, requires a skilled ENGINEERING PROJECT / PROGRAM MANAGER for its $70M division specializing in the production of unique mechanical components primarily for aircraft, rotorcraft, helicopter engines, cockpits, and cabin interiors.

    In this 'highly visible' role, you will directly report to the VP of Programs & Engineering and oversee all program activities related to their critical rotorcraft product line.

    Responsibilities:

    • Experienced leader adept at managing complex program requirements for both Commercial and Defense applications.
    • Lead mechanical engineering projects and supervise a team of project engineers working on customized designs for critical components.
    • Manage full program life cycles including planning, development, scheduling, risk management, cost control, testing, and delivery.
    • Collaborate with Business Development and Customers to understand technical needs, contribute to proposals, and aids in capturing new projects.
    • Drive Research & Development for New Product Development by creating proof of concept designs, cost estimates, materials selection, and testing.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong background in Technical Engineering focusing on MECHANICAL components in aerospace/aviation contexts (structures, components, fixed-wing, rotorcraft, VTOL, etc.)
    • Ability to oversee programs throughout their entire life cycle and collaborate with different departments across the organization.
    • Occasional travel required to other company facilities, customer sites, and suppliers as necessary.
    • BS in Engineering or a related Technical Discipline
    • Must be a US Citizen (eligibility for a DoD clearance is advantageous)
