Charu Jain

I am a graduate student at the University of Southern California majoring in Quantum Information Sciences.

During my graduate work at the University of Southern California, I am investigating the use of Bell's non-locality theorem in entanglement-based quantum networks to engineer a device-independent quantum repeater. At the USC Takahashi Lab, I am involved in studying high-fidelity quantum control techniques for the Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) centers-based qubits. I am also conducting research at the Information Sciences Institute on a project that explores classical machine learning (ML) algorithms in noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) systems to characterize and decrease noise. Given my mathematical and programming background, paired with my passion and domain-specific knowledge of NISQ devices and ML, I would be a great fit for this internship. 

I have held research assistant positions before, but the focus has been on long-term projects; I am looking to take my experience to the next level by conducting focused research on a well-defined and concrete project.
