Services offered
With over eight years of work experience in software engineering and quality assurance, I am currently a software engineer at GoFundMe, the world's largest social fundraising platform. I work with a diverse and talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers to build and improve features that empower people to help others in need. I use my skills in Jira, quality assurance, and test automation to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our platform, as well as to deliver high-quality products to our users. I am passionate about using technology to create positive social change and to make a difference in the lives of millions of people around the world. I am always eager to learn new skills, tools, and best practices to enhance my professional growth and to contribute to the success of GoFundMe.
Experience
I have implemented a robust CI/CD pipeline utilizing Jenkins and AWS to enhance our Person service repository. This repository serves as a crucial component in identifying and authenticating users on GoFundMe. Additionally, I have successfully established CI/CD practices for our Guard repository, which plays a pivotal role in granting specific user permissions based on role-based access control (RBAC) principles.
I took the lead in organizing and facilitating planning and design meetings for significant projects, including the implementation of a JWT token and multifactor authentication (MFA) enforcement.
I assumed responsibility for deploying code to the production environment, necessitating extensive coordination with both internal and external team members. Throughout the release process, I diligently monitored our dashboards using Sumo Logic, ensuring the smooth execution of the deployment and promptly addressing any issues that arose.
I took the initiative to enhance the security of our Signup/Sign in backend API endpoints by implementing JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and collaborating closely with our dedicated security team.
I actively participated in the identification and execution of optimizations and improvements to our infrastructure and systems. One notable achievement was the consolidation of our SUSI endpoints into a person microservice.
I have taken on the role of mentoring and training junior engineers within our team, actively supporting their professional growth and development. To ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing, I regularly scheduled sync meetings using platforms such as Google Meet. During these sessions, I provided guidance, assisted with planning, and engaged in pair programming activities.
