    Description
    NorthWest General Engineering is hiring for a full time project Engineer.
    We are inviting entry level project engineers as well as mid and senior level project engineers to apply.


    Job responsibilities include:
    Read and understand plans and specifications.
    Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered.

    Assist with the development and maintenance of the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and MS Project scheduling software with input from other project management personnel.

    Assist projects with compiling and management of short-term schedule development and reporting of short term equipment and materials needs.

    Review new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions; quantify impact of changes and review with job teams.

    Assist in the tracking of project change orders.
    Understand company and project quality control and quality assurance procedures.
    Travel to jobsites for site meetings and inspections.
    Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIs
    resolution and documentation of design conflicts
    Track and inspect material deliveries
    Attend project meetings, as directed by Project Manager and take notes during meetings
    Assist and/or complete project close-out.

    Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines and work overtime and weekends as required.


    Qualifications:
    Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office and or Google workspace suite of products
    Self starter and able to work independently as well as part of a larger team of managers.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Basic math/accounting skills
    Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
    Good time management skills and organizational skills
    Work productively and meet deadlines timely
    Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
    Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity

    The ideal candidate will have a passion for and or genuine interest in civil construction/site works projects.

    Base Compensation:
    $65,000 - $110,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, & skill sets)
