Perry Ellis International is currently seeking a Full-Time Photography Production Coordinator.
The Photography Production Coordinator is responsible for directly producing photo shoots across all brands for the company (including ecommerce, on figure marketing, still life, lookbooks, etc), and tracking and managing all records for photography produced by the company (whether directly produced by the Photography Production Manager or not).
This includes negotiating rates and sourcing of models, freelance supporting staff, and locations.Along with the Photography Director, the Photo Producer will identify talent that reflects the overall seasonal creative concept as well as liaising with our marketing teams to ensure all aspects of photo and video shoots are effectively produced while maintaining costs down.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage production of e-commerce & marketing
Tracking of invoicing and invoicing reconciliation in the oracle system for outsourced staff and models.
Source, hire and negotiate rates for all supporting freelance staff and
Manage calendar for all requested photography & video
Manage pre-production budgets and insure all invoiced amounts are
Keeping productions on time and on
Request and coordinate all travel for talent bookings
Request and source locations when needed and/or work directly with a location & scout
Scout locations with Studio Director/Photographer and Art
Average 10 shooting days a week (often booking multiple shoots simultaneously per week) Approx. 16+brand's total
Request contracts for models, photographers, locations, and stylists hired directly through producer
Source permits where needed and legal clearance
Maintain active and create new relationships with external modeling agencies, videographers, photographers, stylists, assistants and all supporting staff
Keep up to date information to be used in production throughout the season and contribute to the development of PEI brands
Assist in all aspects of regularly scheduled castings to scout models for e-commerce and marketing shoots.
Maintain model and photographer databases that can be used for all
Maintain prop catalog and source props when possible as well as catalog any new props as they come.
Coordinate and maintain relationships with outside Production This includes all travel, location scouting, booking of talent, and logistics of shoot
Serve as liaison between photo studio, creative directors, E-Commerce Team, and brand managers as well as cross-departmentally
Facilitate clear, constructive and ongoing communication with studio directors regarding budgets, photo staff, talent, contracts, billing and other concerns
Ad-hoc responsibilities to facilitate any workflow challenges in studio
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum 2 to 3 years in production with publishing or photo agency
Requires knowledge of applicable computer programs including Photoshop, Google Enterprise suite, etc.
Interest in fashion, culture, and art photography
Detailed Management and negotiation of production budgets
Self-directed, reliable and flexible. Always open to new ideas and bringing new ideas to the table
Enthusiasm about production and photography, with the ability to see creative vision through from inception to completion
Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to organize complex information and manage multiple projects
Ability to work independently with high sense of urgency while supporting company goals and objectives
Ability to identify and communicate trends appropriate to customer and distill trend information into photographic images that drive sales and marketing plans
Ability to work within the creative team and adapt to evolving ideas of rapidly developing brands
Maintain and manage budget goals for the catalog and Marketing shoots
An ability to multitask between different projects
Available to complete tasks at off hours due to production last minute changes/occurrences
