    Position Summary:

    This position performs custodial and maintenance duties in and around manufacturing building.

    Facility Maintenance Technician will perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks for maintenance and repair general building maintenance and custodial duties; landscaping work responds to calls for emergency repair work needed and performs other necessary maintenance and custodial work as required to meet the facility's needs.

    Essential duties:


    Perform minor property maintenance and repairs including, but not limited to plastering, painting, drywall repair, fixing/installing light fixtures, installing brand new appliances, light plumbing.

    Repair and maintain furniture and equipment.
    Perform and manage routine building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair and maintenance.
    Gather and empty trash.
    Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
    Clean and polish furniture, restroom fixtures, counter tops, bathroom stalls, toilets, and urinals, concessions, etc.
    Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
    Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
    Make adjustments and minor repairs, as needed (i.e.

    replacing/adjusting

    bolts and screws, adjusting door handles, etc.).
    Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
    Clear and dispose of trash and debris from grounds,

    walkways/sidewalks,

    and curbs.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Good communications skills, ability to follow oral and written instructions
    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

    Knowledge of the basic uses and purposes of tools, materials and equipment used in buildings, streets, grounds and parks maintenance.

    Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.

    Reporting Relationships:

    Report to the building maintenance manager.
    Working Conditions
    :

    Machine shop environment. Most of the work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and lifting
    Position type

    :

    Requires full work time only. 8 hours a shift- Monday to Friday - overtime expected depending on production needs. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
