Rate of pay:
$23.26 per hour
Schedule:
Full-time; Days; 8-hour shift

Position summary:
A maintenance technician is responsible for accomplishing general maintenance and repairs on equipment and buildings, assisting with technical trades such as electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and HVAC systems in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential responsibilities:
- Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, electrical outlets, thermostats, breakers and/or fuses.
- Repair washers and dryers as necessary, recommend contracted assistance when oncenter repair is not possible.
- Maintain and preserve all flooring and/or converting by scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing and seeping.
- Perform maintenance and repair to structures and systems throughout the center.
- Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.
- Install window shades or coverings and security locks.
- Supervise assigned students assigned to the maintenance department.
Education and experience requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training in maintenance repair is required.
- Two (2) years of related experience is required.
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record is needed.
