    ILLUMINARIUM
    The latest addition to our Global Attractions portfolio, Legends has been chosen as the exclusive operator of

    Illuminarium Experiences:
    cutting edge immersive, experiential entertainment spectacles.

    Located in major cities and tourism destinations around the world, these custom-designed venues, or "Illuminariums," will surround visitors in a 360x360 sensory experience, using advanced laser projection mapping and sound systems to transport guests to places they may never otherwise visit: the world's best safari, an expedition to Mars, or even a trip back in time to visit ancient civilizations.

    After hours, Illuminariums will transform into unique spaces for corporate and private events, as well as immersive club/bar experiences on the weekends.

    As museums are to art, cinemas are to movies, Illuminariums are to experiential entertainment.


    THE ROLE


    The Event Sales Manager assists the General Manager with the development and management of sales programs and operational processes for all events at Illuminarium Experiences.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all functions within the events department, focusing specifically on soliciting business in the corporate and social markets to increase and maximize revenue, as well as detailing and managing events.

    This individual will have established contacts in the corporate and social markets while building a solid book of business.

    Essential Functions

    Proactively solicit new business by, among other things, making sales calls, attending trade shows, and engaging in other client prospecting in order to increase the size of the organization's client database
    Qualify leads, draft proposals and contracts using the TripleSeat event management platform
    Stay current on changes and new developments in the special events industry
    Work closely with the Sales team and Executive Chef to continuously innovate event offerings
    Provides guidance, feedback and counseling to the Event Coordinator and provides overall support to the Food and Beverage team
    Work closely with broader Illuminarium team, internal & external catering providers and vendors to plan and execute client events
    Manage the events calendar, long term planning of resources and serve as the primary contact for clients
    Prepare and provide required documents and reports for the Director of Sales and Marketing including but not limited to banquet event orders, banquet checks, revenue reports, prospect/tentative/turndown reports and sales recaps
    Obtain feedback from clients following each special event to determine and analyze client satisfaction, organizational performance, and event-related risks and liabilities
    Perform other assignments/functions as required

    Qualifications


    To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels.

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training
    A minimum of four years of related event sales experience required – preferably in Atlanta
    Resourceful, innovative and forward thinking, with an entrepreneurial spirit
    Working knowledge of local and regional markets, venue operations, and events operations & standards
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    Ability to effectively evaluate risks and liabilities of special events
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet, database, CRM and word processing programs
    Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary

    Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations including but not limited to Legends' COVID Preparedness Plan and Standard Operating Procedures, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.

    Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.

    Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company's risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.
