    Sales Engineer


    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a FiberLight Sales Engineer. This role will primarily focus on providing technical support for Enterprise sales and public sector initiatives. As a key member of the sales team, you will play a crucial role in understanding customer needs, designing solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of FiberLight's solutions.


    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise in FiberLight's products and solutions.
    • Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales team.
    • Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and design tailored technical solutions.
    • Develop and present comprehensive technical proposals to potential clients.
    • Engage with customers to analyze networking requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Guide customers in the implementation of FiberLight solutions.
    • Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams.
    • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and proposals.
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and partners.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless communication.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics.
    • Provide insights to contribute to strategic decision-making.
    • Travel up to 25% per month is possible including trade show participation and customer meetings.

    Required Skills:

    • Proven experience in a sales engineering role within the telecommunications industry.
    • Proficient in networking protocols and fiber optics technology.
    • Experience with Channel Partner Sales or Technology Solutions Distributors / Brokers industry is preferred.
    • Solid understanding of Enterprise and Public sector networking requirements.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying technical information effectively.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address customer challenges.
    • Customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
    • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development.
    • Self-motivated and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Experience with Office 365 Suite with specific advanced skills in Visio and Excel.
    • Previous experience using GIS software for fiber network management.
    • Advanced Google Earth skills are preferred.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment as a liaison between Operations, Engineering and Sales Departments.
    • Industry recognized certifications are a plus. Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and Fujitsu are ideal.
