    The Director of Human Resources is a strategic senior partner to and for the CHRO and the Executive Committee leadership. In this position you will enhance and direct HR policies including personnel evaluation, compensation recognition and succession planning, together with the administration and enhancement of competitive benefit programs and other activities needed to meet the firm's goals and objectives. The Director of Human Resources will serve as a firm member advocate and encourage the alignment of firm member career development and the vision of the firm. Candidates must have experience working in a Human Resources for a Public Accounting firm.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • You will be the CHRO's thought partner as we grow our firm and processes as outlined in firm's strategic plan
    • Partner with the management team to design and implement HR strategies that align with company values and business goals across all geographic offices.
    • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing HR strategy & operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, people operations, compensation, payroll, and benefits globally.
    • Ensure the firm develops a high-performing, mission-driven culture by strategically gauging employee engagement and addressing organizational issues.
    • Drive world class talent management, integrating best practices and trends while assessing and continuously improving existing practices.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plan to attract employees with the skills and experience to meet the needs of the organization
    • Develop and implement a total rewards philosophy that integrates compensation and benefits to attract, retain, and recognize employees.
    • Help existing management teams plan for their expected growth and scale their departments in accordance with business demands.
    • Lead and mentor the HR team, assessing and providing the development opportunities for each member.
    • Use analytics and metrics to drive strategic decision-making in relation to people and policies.
    • Responsible for promoting workplace diversity and ensuring a culture of inclusiveness.
    • Evaluate the existing HR systems to determine their effectiveness and develop a go-forward strategy.
    • Maintain an effective program of compliance related to HR and effectively partner with BPB's legal counsel & CFO
    • Implement and oversee human resources strategies, including talent acquisition, retention and evaluation, employment processing, compensation, benefits, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, equity and diversity, performance management, and labor relations.
    • Administer the development and execution of short- and long-term operational objectives for Human Resources Department that are aligned with the firm's strategic and operational plans.
    • Oversee the development and administration and enhancement of all employee salary and benefit programs including the firm's 401K plan.
    • In conjunction with L&D, drive the adoption of training programs and enhancing the firm's culture
    • Work with CEO to plan and execute leadership development strategies that align with firm vision and business plan objectives.
    • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
    • Develop a recruitment strategy, associated policies, and procedures to support the successful recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high performing firm members.
    • Support the development of the firm overall in a culture that emphasizes quality client service, continuous improvement, and high performance.
    • Establish high functioning relationships across levels of the firm, understand working challenges and enhance client focus and accountability
    • Recommends employee special functions, recognition events, and other firm wide events
    • Keeps current on evolving HR procedures and practices within the CPA industry.

    • Self-confidence and experience to implement structure and processes that will enable growth, accommodating the dynamic and fast paced nature of the business.

    • Ability to write speeches, instructional lectures/presentations, articles for publications that conform to prescribed style and format.
    • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
    Education

    Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required

    Master's Degree preferred

    Minimum 12 years progressive Human Resources experience, with 3+ years at VP or Higher level

    Public Accounting Industry experience required

    This position can be based in one of our 5 offices (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach or New York City)
