    Position Summary:


    We are seeking an experienced Director, IT Operations with a strong focus on cloud technology to lead and optimize our IT operations within our national wealth management firm.

    You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based technology infrastructure, including oversight of deskside support, endpoint device management and building of a NOC.

    You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with senior leadership to align technology strategies with business objectives. Your portfolio coverage will include 30+ office locations, 1200+ employees and growing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
    Implement best practices for cloud resource management, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.

    Security and Compliance:
    Enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
    Stay up-to-date with cloud security trends and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.

    Team Leadership:
    Lead a team of technology professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
    Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the technology operations team.

    Vendor Management:
    Evaluate, select, and manage cloud service providers and vendors to ensure the firm's technology needs are met effectively.
    Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to optimize costs and service quality.
    Partner with MSPs as needed

    Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:


    Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of disruptions.


    Budget and Cost Management:
    Develop and manage the technology operations budget, optimizing costs while maintaining high service quality.
    Monitor cloud usage and expenses, making recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.

    Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    Implement monitoring tools and metrics to track the performance of cloud services and infrastructure.
    Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to support decision-making.

    Project Management:
    Oversee technology projects related to cloud migrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
    Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
    Proven experience (7+ years) in managing cloud-based technology operations, preferably in the financial services industry.
    Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services.
    Demonstrated experience in security and compliance management within a highly regulated environment.
    Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Effective communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies is desirable.
