Job Purpose:


The Operations Director will be responsible for multiple existing TCR (airport) operations and set‐up of new operations in the region.

The Operations Director has a high degree of self‐steering with end responsibility for delivering service excellence to multiple customers, guaranteeing best‐in‐class GSE availability and maximizing the value of the assets owned by TCR.


The Operations Director is responsible for Operations including safety, standards, maintenance and supply chain at multi‐site operations across the region.

The Operations Director will develop operational standards and best practices to further safety, sustainability and efficiency and, in addition, support TCR's growth in the region by assisting in new operational start‐ups in multiple and different states.

The operations Director is reporting to the Managing Director North Americas.


Key Tasks:


Safety:
‐ Implement a zero‐harm safety organization in new and existing TCR sites in the region.

  • Active implementation and roll‐out of safety culture.
  • Day‐to‐day safety of TCR operational teams, partners and other airport stakeholders, incl:
  • To act responsibly and to do everything they can to prevent injury to themselves and other persons.
  • Observe all rules and operating procedures and instructions regarding safety.
  • Correctly use safety equipment, protective devices and PPE (if applicable).
  • Inform their immediate superior of all accidents, dangerous occurrences, near miss events, damage or potentially dangerous situations, whether persons are injured or not.
  • Cooperate in the investigation of any accident or incident.
  • Report any unsafe or defective plant, tools, equipment, PPE, practices, methods or other hazards.

Operations Management:

  • Build an organization in which empowerment, accountability & integrity are central pillars.
  • Implement an organization with agile, self‐steering and accountable teams. Open communication and team involvement are key.
  • Implement strategy for business rationalization and focus in line with the Group business strategy.
  • Drive the TCR values and make sure they are embedded in the behaviors of the team.
  • Identify sustainable ways of reducing costs and improve efficiency, whilst retaining long‐ term focus.
  • Implement a service‐oriented organization in order to exceed customer's expectations.
  • Day‐to‐day operational management, problem‐solving and appraisal.
  • Lead a team of Operations Managers, Operations Coordinators and Operational Staff. Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and their contribution to the success of the company.
  • Investment in workshop and tooling to efficiently support operations long‐term
  • Recruit new team members.

Commercial:

  • Maintain a positive day‐to‐day operational relationships with customers.
  • Implement a platform for operational customer communication.
  • Adherence to Service Level Agreements.
  • Start‐up of new operations.

Finance:

  • P&L responsibility of the respective sites/workshops.
  • Drive and implement efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Support, define and implement the TCR Americas Strategy in line with the Group strategy.

  • Languages: fluency in English (verbal and written). Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to "partner up" with all different stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of the aviation and GSE industry.
  • Strong technical background or high‐degree of interest to develop it.
  • Ability to plan and implement operational projects.
