Major Gifts Officer
We have launched a $2 billion capital campaign for key priorities that will maintain the Hospital's excellence in patient care, education, and translational research.
We invite you to join our team and help us reach our campaign goal.NewYork-Presbyterian seeks a Major Gifts Officer for Women's Health based at our corporate office in midtown.
This position will work closely with physicians, volunteers, and staff to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts of $100,000+.Key ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with other staff in the Development OfficeBe able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentManage a portfolio of approximately 150 major gift prospects, including personally soliciting these prospectsDesign, implement, and assess effective strategies to cultivate and solicit major gift prospectsEngage physicians, administration, volunteers, and staff, involving them in strategy development and solicitations, keeping them apprised of interactions, and collaborating to ensure maximum fundraising effectivenessStaff committees and various cultivation and stewardship eventsMaintain knowledge of relevant clinical developments and fundraising trends.
Preferred CriteriaDemonstrated success soliciting and closing major giftsExperience building and maintaining long-term relationships with major-gift level donorsSolid experience managing and tracking multiple prospects and donorsDemonstrated ability to navigate within a fast-paced, highly-complex organization emphasizing teamwork, respect, and excellenceStrong organizational and planning skills with attention to detailAppreciation and understanding of NewYork-Presbyterian's mission and the ability to effectively communicate itRequired CriteriaBachelor's degreeMinimum of 3 years of direct fundraising experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
