TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Up to 52 weeks; seasonal hours as determined by the College.
CLASSIFICATION: ESP, Pay Band P
ANNUAL SALARY: $16.00 per hour
FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt
HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week; some flexing of hours and schedule to include weekend and evening hours may be required as determined by the college to meet needs.

JOB SUMMARY: The Engineering/Warehouse Technician provides laboratory assistance to support instruction and lab operations within the Engineering Technology Division.

• Provide general assistance to faculty to support STEM lab operations and the offering of diverse laboratory experiences for students including cutting and shearing stock.
• Provide assistance to ensure STEM labs and classrooms are safe and organized.
• Follow established procedures for warehouse, laboratories, and storage areas in compliance with MIOSHA and other governmental safety requirements.
• Follow established procedures to ensure safe and secure storage of warehouse, laboratory, and other related supplies and equipment.
• Monitor the need for routine maintenance, service, and ordering of first aid supplies.
• Assist with supplies and equipment inventory within labs and warehouse, processing and tracking orders as needed.
• Receive/track & deliver freight packages from freight carriers to designated locations on campus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervision received from the STEM Lab Manager.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate degree required in an industrial technology-related field. Will consider candidates in process of obtaining an associate's degree. Minimum of one year experience working in an industrial environment with mechanical and electrical aptitude preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Basic knowledge and skills to set up and operate equipment and other laboratory devices including but not limited to metal band saw, cut-off saw, grinder, and metal shears.
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tool operation & safety.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Basic Microsoft Office application skills.
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, reach, walk, and stand without difficulty.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
