Your tasks

As part of our development department, you will have the exciting task of designing and adapting PLC programs for our automation solutions and custom machine solutions
You will be responsible for developing sophisticated automation concepts that will be implemented in our HERMLE machining centers, and will also be involved in the realization and, if necessary, on-site commissioning. Occasional willingness to travel may be required in exceptional cases
In addition, you will support our service department in finding solutions for customer-specific special projects as needed
You will also be involved in the redesign and optimization of machine visualizations (using Python and QT)
Creating technical documentation is also an important part of your diverse tasks

Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering / automation technology or state-certified technician with a specialization in electrical engineering / automation technology or equivalent qualification
Ideally, experience in PLC programming (Heidenhain, S7, TIA) and/or a high-level language
Experience and, above all, enthusiasm in realizing automation solutions with programmable logic controllers
Independent and responsible work, with the ability to present structured solutions
Interdisciplinary communication skills to lead projects to the best possible result
Good knowledge of English, both written
