    We're on a mission to make analytics ducking awesome by building a new type of data warehouse for the post-big data era.

    Our team is a diverse mix of passionate, collaborative and empathetic data industry veterans from Google, Amazon, Meta, Snowflake, SingleStore, Databricks, and the like.

    We're geographically distributed across 4 hubs, spanning the US and Europe.

    As the first in-house recruiter at MotherDuck, you will be positioned to work closely with employees across the entire company, globally.

    You will work closely with and report to the Head of People, where you will collaborate on the talent strategy and how it hooks into the overall employee lifecycle.

    Additionally, you will work with every hiring manager to create the ideal interview process to bring the very best talent to MotherDuck.

    You will own the build out and continuous iteration of the entire recruitment process, and will own the candidate experience in partnership with our recruiting coordinator to delight our candidates and show them why MotherDuck is such a special place to work.

    You will be on point for all sourcing, vetting and closing of all candidates and will load balance with the Head of People as needed.

    You are flexible and manage ambiguity with ease, you are a creative problem solver and love to think outside the box, you thoughtfully approach your work and all relationships as you are the gatekeeper to the company and a connector within MotherDuck.


    What you'll do:


    Own and manage full cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches for technical and non-technical talent, creating innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent to each role.

    Drive offer process - including extending offers, negotiations, closing candidates, and generating offer letters.


    Provide an efficient and high-touch experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview process and offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendations and closing of candidates.

    Coordinate closely with the Head of People to innovate our strategy for talent pooling, market mapping, competitor analysis.

    Collaborate closely with Hiring Managers throughout the recruiting process to ensure we meet their hiring needs and goals.

    Regularly manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders.

    Facilitate and lead meetings and key initiatives that will continuously improve and scale our hiring operations and results.

    Actively engage in diversity and inclusion hiring strategies.

    Demonstrate data integrity and experience understanding data to help influence strategic decisions.

    Minimum qualifications:

    7+ years of experience working in technical recruiting.

    Recruiting experience must include the following: Sourcing, engaging and activating passive candidates, Candidate care, balancing process with candidate experience and closing offers

    Experience creating and fostering partnerships with internal leadership and/or executive teams.

    Experience using talent market insights and data to influence decisions within leadership and cross-functional teams.

    Experience proactively recommending and driving process improvements that impact candidate lifecycle.

    Compensation Range:
    $140K - $196K
