Job Description Posted Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 4:00 AMAre you passionate about fostering a positive work environment and building strong relationships?We're seeking an enthusiastic Employee Relations Specialist to join our growing HR team You'll play a key role in the development and administration of the employee relations program, performance management program and employee advocacy.
Assists management with performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues.
Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management.
Performs employee investigations and incident documentationAdvises supervisors and management on legal compliance, company policies and best practicesAssists in mediation between supervisors and employees to promote positive work environmentAssists in development and facilitation of performance management initiativesMeets with employees for new hire check-ins and reviews employee feedback to determine appropriate plans of actionMaintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the companys standardsWorks on special projects as assigned by managementServes as backup to other members of the HR Department as neededPerforms other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications3+ years of experience in employee relationsBachelors degree, preferably in human resource management or related fieldSHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), PHR, or PHRca credential preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Proficient knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
