Job purpose


The Community Engagement Specialist is accountable for grassroots efforts, developing relationships, and acting as a liaison with local community organizations, key community leaders, partners, and health plan members to promote Dream Big's role as a leader in ABA.

This role will strive to enhance the Organization's brand awareness, leadership, image, reputation, and community involvement.

Works with partnerships, and community programs; implements and manages multiple programs and events that support the Organization's business and community missions.

Meets with prospective sources and organizations that address the under-served population to assess potential collaborative opportunities. The Community Engagement Specialist actively participates in community events and networks to forge relationships that facilitate staff recruitment.

By representing the organization positively and showcasing its values, this role attracts potential employees and leverages community partnerships to identify and recruit talent effectively.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Engage with community affiliates, including pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, daycares, and teachers, during inperson meetings to develop relationships and client referrals.
  • Distribute marketing materials and use a personalized URL for referral submissions, emphasizing the outreach nature of the role.
  • Drive growth strategy and spearhead the development of a comprehensive community outreach program, identifying and fostering partnerships to expand our reach and impact.
  • Organize and participate in community events such as workshops, seminars, health fairs, and informational sessions to promote the organization and engage with the community.
  • Analyze market trends and client data to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Launch and manage Community Outreach Program in current and new markets.
  • Attend meetings and events with community leaders, and potential partners.
  • Wear companylogoidentified apparel regularly to serve as a brand ambassador.
  • Assist in planning and executing Community Engagement events.
  • Collect, analyze, and report key metrics related to community engagement activities, such as lead generation rates, participant attendance and partnership outcomes, to assess effectiveness and inform strategic decisions for future initiatives.
  • Foster relationships with local educational institutions, training centers, and other organizations that can serve as pipelines for recruitment.
  • Organize open days and participate in job fairs within the community to showcase the work environment and meet job seekers in a more informal setting.
  • Engage on community forums and platforms to promote job openings and the organization's commitment to community development.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in ABA, healthcare marketing, and/or business development.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Infield travel throughout assigned territory a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Able to work weekends and extended hours as needed. Develop a territory management plan according to individual goals.
Compensation

  • DOE: $20 $28/hour
  • Bonuses based on performance
Working conditions

This is a hybrid position with frequent travel to and from all Dream Big locations and events.

Physical requirements

Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, running, squatting, bending over, kneeling, and sitting on the floor.
