Function:
Provides supply chain support for assigned vendors, territory managers, and customer service representatives.
Supply Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain close working relationships with assigned vendors, territory sales managers, customer service representatives through friendly, timely and accurate communication.
- Monitor and communicate orders to assigned suppliers using SAP transactions.
- Enter product inventories from assigned suppliers in various formats into SAP.
- Process order changes utilizing SAP and electronic communication tools.
- Create and manage supplier shipped not billed and past ship date reports.
- Communicate shipment delays and cancellations to territory managers and customer service representatives.
- Provide general support to Supply Chain Operations Manager including special projects as assigned.
- Solve problems within the scope of the position and make decisions and recommendations.
- Performs additional duties as required.

- Associate degree in related field to Supply Chain or horticulture or equivalent work experience required
- Work experience must be a minimum of 3 years in customer service, operations or vendor relations experience is preferred
- Working knowledge to include MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Intermediate experience with SAP system preferred
- Strong analytical, numerical computation, and problemsolving abilities
- Ability to understand and optimize supply chain processes and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and learn new processes

- Normal office work
Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching
- May require lifting up to 20 pounds
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines, such as computer, copies, fax machines, calculators, telephones and other office equipment
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision
Travel Requirements
- 010% travel primarily to assigned suppliers and sales meetings
