    Qualifications:


    Flexible, self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work with diverse teams

    Shows proficiency in communicating instructional strategies and skills to other teachers

    A life-long learner with knowledge of or willingness to learn about current research-based best practices that improve student learning

    Demonstrates technical skills and a desire to "learn by doing"

    Fully committed and dedicated to improving school performance


    Responsibilities:

    Meet with Site Based Guiding Coalition 2 times a Month (August thru May)

    Active Participation:
    Guiding coalition teachers are expected to actively engage in meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes. They should provide their insights, expertise, and perspectives on various matters related to school improvement and change initiatives.

    Advocacy for Student Needs:
    Teachers in the guiding coalition should advocate for the needs and interests of their students.

    They must ensure that all decisions made by the coalition are aligned with the best interests of the students and their academic growth.


    Collaboration and Teamwork:

    The guiding coalition operates as a team, and teachers should collaborate effectively with other coalition members, including administrators, staff, and community representatives.

    Teamwork and cooperation are essential for successful decision-making and implementation of initiatives.

    Commitment to the School's Vision:
    Guiding coalition teachers should support and promote the school's mission and vision.

    They should work towards the common goals and objectives set by the coalition and demonstrate a commitment to the school's success.


    Data-Informed Decision Making:
    Teachers in the guiding coalition should rely on data and evidence to make informed decisions.

    They must analyze student performance data, attendance rates, behavior data, and other relevant metrics to inform their recommendations and actions.


    Advocacy for Professional Development:

    Guiding coalition teachers should advocate for professional development opportunities that support the growth and effectiveness of all staff members.

    They should identify areas where training is needed and work towards providing relevant workshops and resources.

    Effective Communication:

    Guiding coalition teachers must communicate effectively with other staff members to disseminate information, gather feedback, and ensure that everyone is aware of ongoing initiatives and changes.


    Change Management Skills:

    As change agents, guiding coalition teachers should be prepared to navigate and manage the challenges associated with implementing new initiatives.

    They should help facilitate a smooth transition for the school community

    Professionalism and Integrity:
    Teachers in the guiding coalition should model professionalism and integrity in all their actions. They should be reliable, accountable, and uphold ethical standards in their decision-making and interactions.

    Continuous Learning:
    Guiding coalition teachers should be open to learning and growing as professionals. They should seek opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills to better serve the school community.


    Hiring Process:

    Interested staff will submit an application through TalentEd

    Guiding Coalition team compositions will be determined at the building level by the Site-Based Principal

    Project Momentum Guiding Coalition positions will be posted with job responsibilities and qualifications


    Compensation:

    Principals will determine Project Momentum Guiding Coalition Positions on their campus

    $2,000 for a total compensations


    Budget:


    Stipends will be coming out of Project Momentum Funds for the 23/24 school year
