    Description

    Join a reputable organization specializing in global supply chain solutions as a Logistics Business Development Manager. This remote role requires candidates to be located near Los Angeles, CA, providing flexibility with access to major urban and business hubs. You will play a key role in acquiring new business, diversifying our service portfolio, and nurturing strong connections in the industry.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Expand business in domestic and international ocean and airfreight sectors.
    • Analyze customer requirements to provide tailored logistics solutions with a focus on service excellence.
    • Oversee the growth of comprehensive transportation services, including warehousing and distribution.
    • Proactively seek new prospects within the designated sales territory to boost business volume and surpass revenue goals.
    • Organize and conduct weekly sales visits, manage a focused sales roster, and cultivate lasting business partnerships.
    • Drive enhancements in profitability and revenue within the specified region.
    • Manage RFPs, create SOPs for client guidance, and explore new business prospects through proactive outreach.
    • Devise pricing strategies and deliver compelling sales pitches.
    • Represent the company in sales discussions and engage key clients through strategic relationship-building activities.


    Requirements

    • Demonstrated track record in sales or business development in the transportation and logistics sector.
    • Strong organizational and planning abilities, adept at handling detailed proposals and client requirements.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Extensive networking capabilities with a solid industry contact network.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Prior experience in freight forwarding is a must.
    • International business exposure is beneficial but not mandatory.
